DR. ROCK:
What we have found in our
series of 135 patients is that there are
multiple antibodies in patients with TTP by
protein blotting. And this is a technique in
which the patient's plasma is run out and then
tested to see whether antibodies are present
or not. And these antibodies would be directed
against different parts of the platelets because
we use platelet lisase to run these protein
blocks.
