DR. CORNEL:
This is the chest x-ray after
the ECMO and remembering that awful appearance I
showed you before this is the heart, it's now a
normal-sized heart. These are the wires where
the breast bone is stitched up, this is a
drainage tube, and then faintly you can see the
tubes going for the bypass circuit. The lungs
have cleared out. There's lots of air space,
really a great looking x-ray, very dramatic.
