At 36 hours into this procedure
by echocardiogram we still had no useful cardiac
function. I will show you what the echo looked
like in a minute. At this stage we were really
beginning to believe that this heart would not
recover.
We consulted with the transplant
team and since they had strong adult orientation
they came and looked and basically said, well,
when she gets better call us and we will come
back. It was not a helpful consult.
But we got very encouraged by
somewhere around this same time we did another
EEG and, well, these are out of order, the EEG
I will show you in a second showed a fantastic
recovery.
