Individual Giving Manager

Overview
The Individual Giving Manager is the central coordinator of S.T.O.P.'s rapidly growing national individual donor program. S/he is responsible for helping to develop, launch, and continually refine a proven community-oriented, mission-based sustainable fundraising model in targeted cities throughout the country and for managing individual donor campaigns and cultivation. In addition, s/he will serve as the primary liaison to S.T.O.P.'s Development Committee and the central point of contact for a national network of high-level volunteers. The Individual Giving Manager reports to the Executive Director and works closely with S.T.O.P.'s Development Committee.
Job Description
- Oversee and manage all individual donor programs, including prospecting, ongoing communications, and donation requests.
- Launch new, nationwide donor-recruitment and donor relations efforts with focus on building organizational sustainability:
* Develop broad expertise in specific fundraising technique
* Recruit and coach volunteer leaders
* Serve as in-house coordinator and information source for volunteers
* Coordinate/oversee event logistics
* Make personal outreach calls to donors and prospects
* Track individual donors' interests
* Keep detailed records and report periodically on progress
* Work closely with Development Committee to tailor and refine model to fit S.T.O.P.'s needs.
* Create and coordinate production of effective marketing materials
* Participate in other organizational activities as part of staff team
* Work closely with volunteers
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in event management, individual donor relations, customer relations, sales, and/or fundraising.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via telephone
- Demonstrated skill in managing event logistics.
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Computer literacy required; spreadsheet, database management, and desktop publishing experience a plus
- Genuine interest in food safety / public health issues
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Will consider both Burlington-based applicants and, for extremely qualified candidates, virtual office contract applicants. Salary commensurate with experience. Some national travel required.
