MS. ORRBINE:
Children who have survived an
episode of acute HUS and have been enrolled in
previous epidemiological studies identified by the
Canadian Kidney Disease Research Center were
eligible for
this study if there was no evidence of stroke,
hemiplegia, cortical blindness or seizures
requiring daily anticonvulsant treatment or any
movement disorder interfering with activities of
daily living, no evidence of chronic renal
insufficiency requiring dialysis, were between the
ages of four and sixteen years of age at the
time of the psychometric assessment that were
carried out as per protocol.
