     Now, remember that picture we had a while back of the islet cells, where the islet cells had around them the blood vessels, the one possibility is that there are the platelets and you get sluggishness of the cells in those islets or in that vascular structure around that islet. And that may be one of the causes of the damage.
      There's another possibility that it's free radical accumulation. And free radicals are by-products of toxins that can occur within the cell. And if the cell is injured that can happen. You can also have endothelial toxins, which you've already heard about. And the other possibility is whether there was an injury and then you're having the autoimmune reaction to the body actually fighting it off.
      This is all speculation. We don't have -- it hasn't been studied real well and the major concern here is that -- that you have good follow-up on these patients.
