      But the next day, there was rapid deterioration. She became very edematous. She virtually stopped putting out urine and was no response to Lasix.
      Her hemoglobin at this time remained stable at around 110 grams but the platelets fell to a really low level, around 30. She developed petechial rash. Petechiae are little hemorrhages that look a bit like measles. It is a sign of low platelet count. Her creatinine level went from 64 in SI units to 164 in that 24-hour period.
