DR. ROCK:
But it's interesting for us
because we've now done hundreds of patients, and
in entry, we find that the von Willebrand factor
pattern is multimer. Multimer is variable. We
find, in fact, very few patients with very large
molecular weight von Willebrand factor multimers.
And in our subsequent assays carried out with
Dr. Tsai in New York, we find that the
metalloprotease, this enzyme that is
inhibited, is not always reduced. And when it is,
the inhibitor count appears to die with the
platelet counts.
