      The knowledge that normal cognitive and behavioral function can be expected for those children following that acute episode is certainly reassuring for parents, many of whom have been aware of the possibility or are aware of the possibility of learning disabilities following an episode of acute HUS.
      In addition this information is important to physicians who need perhaps not to include neuroanatomical studies of neuropsychological tests as a routine part of every follow-up visit, although they are not to be ignored.
