MS. ORRBINE:
Now, is it here? Good, just to
stress that point on the table this column here
shows you the patients that were enrolled of 91
out of 184 that we identified as potentially
available. And if I can just bring your
attention to this column here and point out that
compared with the virtually complete sample size
of 205 Canadian children with HUS studied
prospectively, from 1991 to 1994, patients
enrolled in this study had higher creatinine
values and, of course, what you would expect,
higher rates of dialysis, indicating more severe
acute renal injury.
So, again, you can see, first
of all, that these patients, in fact, had their
renal involvement was actually a little bit more
severe overall than -- than this group between
`91 and `94.
So, in fact, this was a very
good comparison and -- and appropriate patients
to -- to examine study as far as cognitive
outcome.
