      Part of the background for this arose from looking at three different astrocytoma cell lines, here, which have the same amount of Gb3, the receptor, but show different sensitivity to verotoxin.
      But there are other examples. The yellow cell is killed by verotoxin at low concentrations, but the bluey-green cell has the same amount of Gb3 but is fairly resistant.
      And if you treat the green cell line with sodium butyrate -- butyrate is a short chain fatty acid C34 -- if you treat it with that compound that increases VT sensitivity of this green cell to become the red cell. And the red cell you can see, is just as sensitive, in fact, more sensitive than the yellow cell.
      So we can change the sensitivity of the cells. Firstly, the cells have differential sensitivity despite equal Gb3 concentration and we can change one to the other by using sodium butyrate. So remember that.
