DR. BRANDT:
And if we look at the normal kidney of a four-year-old boy, the creatinine level is about .4 to .6. The child has a GFR of about 120 ml/min/1.73 m2. He has a normal blood pressure of 100 over 60. He has very little or no protein in the urine as measured on dipstick. The urine protein/ creatinine level is less than .2. And his urine output varies with how much he will drink, but we will see this child has a liter a day of urine output.
