Richard S. Mauseth, M.D. About the Speaker Dr. Richard Mauseth, whose training is in pediatric endocrinology, is a Pediatric Endocrinologist with Woodinville Pediatrics, and a Clinical Associate Professor with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington. He is also on the medical staff of Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center, University of Washington Hospital, and Evergreen Hospital Medical Center. He is a Visiting Professor for W.A.M.I. He also holds multiple positions with the American Diabetes Association and the Diabetes Research Center. Dr. Mauseth has coauthored or submitted for publication more than 14 articles for peer reviewed publications, including "Wide Spectrum of Presentations of Type 1 (Insulin Dependent) diabetes" and "Psychological Adjustments of Asthmatic Children: Theophyl-line therapy or asthma?" He has been a collaborator, coinvestigator or investigator for 12 different research projects. Prior to his current positions, Dr. Mauseth held previous teaching positions at the University of Washington. Dr. Mauseth holds an B.A. in Biology from Whitman College, an M.D. from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, and did Ph.D. work in Biological Structure at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, and a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology, Metabolism and Renal Disease at the University of Washington School of Medicine. In 1998 he was given an Outstanding Volunteer Award by the American Diabetes Association, Washington Affiliate. In the same year, he was given two America's Best Doctor awards, one for pediatrics and one for pediatric endocrinology. |
